Diva nutritional products develop and manufacture nutritional products according to tender specifications for feeding schemes in South Africa. The new HACCP requirements put in place by the SABS meant that they needed to be able to trace the original Supplier and their batch numbers for any of the ingredients of their final products.

Their existing accounting package had an inventory module but it could not deliver on HACCP requiremenrs and also many other aspects of a demanding manufacturing environment. Diva approached Seriti software and together we created a full spec manufacturing system over a period of 6 months.

The system is GPL open source and will be posted on Source forge shortly.

It was written in Delphi v.7 and uses MySQL v4.1.1 as the database. It has been in full production since march 2006 and has performed beyond expectations, particulary with respect to remote access over the internet. With very few modifications the full application will run over an average broad band internet connection, it has in fact successfuly run over a ISDN dial-up as well.
